SKH9
STEELSKH9

Main Characteristics:
SKH9 (equivalent to M2 grade HSS) produced through powder metallurgy exhibits high hardness, superior wear resistance, and exceptional toughness. The fine and uniform microstructure achieved through powder metallurgy minimizes carbide segregation, resulting in improved grindability and dimensional stability during heat treatment. It maintains its hardness even at elevated temperatures, showing excellent red-hardness and resistance to thermal fatigue.

Applications:
Powder Metallurgy SKH9 is primarily used in manufacturing precision cutting tools such as drills, taps, reamers, end mills, broaches, and gear-cutting tools. It is also suitable for cold-forming dies, punches, and other high-performance tooling where edge retention, wear resistance, and toughness are critical. Its fine structure makes it ideal for applications demanding consistent tool life and superior surface finish.
